Andrea Maddalone was among those attending a recent regular meeting of the Hauser Lake Fire Protection District’s Board of Commissioners. These meetings are held at the fire station on the second Monday of every month at 6:30 pm and the public is encouraged to attend.
On September 9, Andrea introduced herself to the Board and others in attendance as a candidate for Fire Commissioner Sub-District 2, a seat currently held by Lisa Wendle but for which Lisa will not be running again this November.
Andrea Maddalone explained that her experience includes being in the fire service 12 years as a firefighter and EMT in Colorado. She has a degree in Fire Science and worked for a local Chamber of Commerce as an executive to the Board. She reported to a Board of Directors for 15 years. With her experience in firefighting and with the Board of Directors, she believes she would be a good match for the HLFPD Fire Commissioner position. She also has a community-oriented family, has lived in Hauser three years, and wants to teach her children that volunteering is an important value. Her husband is a volunteer firefighter with the HLFPD currently.
Both sub-district 1 and 2 have seats up for election this November 5. All candidates are encouraged to attend future meetings and introduce themselves. Introductions will be summarized, as above, and posted here. The next meeting will be held on October 14. Join us!
